With a primary focus on quality and taste, it's no wonder that their dishes leave a lasting impression on all who visit.

Cafe Sweet Street stands out for its exceptional offerings, ranging from hearty breakfast options to a stunning array of desserts. Imagine starting your day with a breakfast like the sausage skillet, praised by a newcomer Dennis P. The sunny-side-up egg on top ties it all together, creating a symphony of textures and flavors that would invigorate any morning.

But it’s not just the savory dishes that shine. Guests rave about the seven-layer chocolate cake—a highlight for many, including Brian Parker, who discovered that this gourmet treat was available at a fraction of its typical price due to a minor aesthetic flaw. Drove to Reading for a morning meeting, so stopped by (1st visit there) for breakfast. Their sausage skillet was one of the BEST breakfasts I've had in a long time! The sausage was perfectly flavored, the potatoes were crunchy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, there was just enough heat (I like spicey) in the jalapenos, the sunny side up fried egg on top added the needed yolk to run down over everything, and the green pepper & onion was the perfect final touch! I will definitely stop and have it again! The coffee was great, but it did have a bit of the grounds floating in it. Very minor thing that did not beminish my experience!

Even if you’ve never heard of this place chances are you’ve had one of their desserts at a restaurant before. They supply many well known places far and wide! The first time I ever stepped foot into the actual bakery shop in Reading, they had some samples for me to try. Then I saw a seven layer chocolate cake for 18. 18!!! Something had to be wrong with this cake. It typically sells for 80! The only thing that was wrong was that it was sliced slightly imperfectly so they couldn’t ship it to a restaurant. That didn’t bother me one bit! We unexpectedly had a delicious gourmet cake that fed my whole extended family for a birthday party that very weekend. If you have a sweet tooth like me then you need to visit to this place!

I moved away from the city a few years ago. Every time I drive back to my old house I really want to go to the Cafe, and unfortunately they’re closed on weekends! but! Yesterday the stars aligned and I was able to stop by for lunch!!! Pictured is the almond and pretzel crusted chicken tenders featuring bell and evens chicken! You have a choice of 3 sides and I picked the salad. Also pictured are two of the desserts currently featured for Christmas! The two desserts only cost 13 combined!!! If you’ve never been, you’re missing out. You’ve got to stop by and check them out.

A truly wonderful experience, pleasing to the eye and palette. Eco friendly takeout containers and coffee cups scores high in my book! Lots and lots of choices and not all of them are sweets! Customize your burger, salad or omelette, for starters. Try their amazing twice fried potatoes, OMG! I hear their fries are as tasty; can’t wait to go back. Just learned that they’re opening a location at the nearby Fairgrounds Market but that won’t beat this landscaped, inviting environment with outdoor seating!

One of my favorite organic spots to grab a quick bite to eat, they don’t have a very large coffee or tea menu but we need salad and yummy wraps. Location is what you pay for, absolutely adorable full of plants, outside patio is beautiful for meeting or to get in a good headspace flow for work!
